Nepal - Manaslu Trip Itinerary: Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel. An arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu, will be received by our staff with a warm welcome. We will be brief with full information about the Manaslu trek and will check necessary gear. Overnight stay at Hotel in Kathmandu. Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing Day 03: Private transfer with jeep from Kathmandu to Jagat. Today we must drive to Jagat (About 155 km drive from Kathmandu) via the Arughat, Soti Khola and Machhikhola. It takes about 10 hours’ drive and offers various scenarios of villages, hills, rice farms landscapes, and rivers. Day 04: Trek to Deng. From Jagat, the journey continues to higher encountering many small farm villages of Sidibas Bazaar. As well which is a pretty village, after rest then a short climb with a downhill crossing over the suspension bridge to reach Nagjet, then climb up to Philim, a large village with scattered farmhouses, Philim the trail onwards through farm terraces of golden fields of wheat and barley, then a climb on rocky ridge top into bamboo forest area to our an overnight stop at Dyang village. Day 05: Trek to Namrung. From Deng, pass by the beautiful forest and numerous Tibetan mani walls. (Intricately hand-carved stone walls with Buddhist scriptures), weaving in and out of canyons. The trail is mostly gradual up and walks into the open valley. Enter into a colorful forest of firs, oaks, and rhododendrons before arriving in the settlement of Namrung for an overnight stay. Day 06: Trek to Shyala. Having a wonderful stay at Namrung village we'll toward the Shyala village and it takes 6 hours to get there. The trail is completely gradually up with a thrilling walk to the lap of the mountains. Even though we pass through separate villages like Lho village, local culture, historical Buddist monasteries, landscapes, and glowing mountains. The Lho village is a massive where you can explore authentic houses with the largest Buddist monastery (Suggested you to visit this monastery), Mt Manaslu, Buddhist Chhorten, and numerous peaks too. Shyala is an amazing place surrounded by the majesty of Manaslu Himalayas ranges. Day 07: Trek to Samagaun. After breakfast, we will go to visit Pungyen Monastery after that we'll head to Samagaun. Pungyen Monastery represents the spiritual serenity and cultural richness of the Manaslu region. This sacred site offers devotees and travelers will have the occasion to perceive the hidden gems of the unique culture of Tibetan Buddhism. After visiting the holly place we head to Samagaun through the magnificent place with pine and juniper trees with sparking peaks. An overnight stay at the beautiful village at Samagaun (3550 meters). Day 08: Explore Samagaun / Manaslu Base Camp / Birendra Lake. An important rest or free day for good acclimatization before heading to high areas and to Larkya-La pass, on this free day explore the villages with a short hike around. You will have option to hike to the Base Camp of Mt. Manaslu. It takes 6 to 7 hours up and down including the Birendra lake as well. The Manaslu base camp lies at 4800 meters above sea level and it would be the best hike and meaningful hike throughout the trip. You will extremely soak into the hidden gems of nature and culture of the Manaslu region. The Manaslu base camp hike is quite thought in comparison to the Pungyen Gumpa. Before hiking to Manaslu Base Camp better to pack a lunch, fill enough water, and carry the necessary gear like a trekking pole, warm jacket, gloves, sunglass, and warm head. Day 09: Trek to Samdo . After breakfast trek for about 5 to 6 hours, heading towards the last village of Manaslu at Samdo (3860 meters) which is close to the Tibet border. The Samdo village is the largest beautiful and highest village before Lakrya La Pass 5106 m. You can explore the local culture, traditions, customs, and monasteries with a mesmerizing scenario of the Manaslu Himalayas. This village has combined the Tibet border where you can find many Chinese goods. Day 10: Trek to Dharmashala. A short day to Larkya Phedi as known Dharmasala (4460 m) after a nice stop at Samdo village, Before crossing an icy stream and then heading towards a drier barren area, the trek today is not that hard except for rapid altitude gain. A few hours gradually and down to complete the morning walk at Larkya Phedi, meaning the base of the hill or pass, the afternoon is free for leisure for a short hike. We suggest you ascend up at least two hundred when you reach at Dharmasala. Day 11: Cross Larkya Pass and trek down to Bhimtang. Starting early morning to reach at the top of the Larkya-La pass at 5,106 m. A strenuous and long climb overlooking the awesome scenery of surrounding hills and valleys with Mt. Manaslu, Larkya Peak, Buddha Himal, Himalchuli, and of Peak 29. After a steep climb eventually, you'll be reaching the top of the Larkya La pass, festooned with Buddhist prayer flags and stunning views. Such an amazing time at the Larkya la we'll extremely descend to Bhimtang village. The coming down would be slippery and tough so highly recommend bringing crampons and a trekking pole. An overnight stay in Bhimtang village with a majesty valley. Day 12: Trek to Gao / Tilje After a tough walk on the Larkya-La pass, today will be a pleasant walk on the gradual downhill through the Gho village then will reach Tilje village. As well, The trek also enters through pristine woodlands full of rhododendrons, pines, and oak tree lines passing several farm shades to reach the Phurke Khola. From Bhimthang the trail is mostly downhill. Day 13: From Tilje drive to to Besishawar by Jeep and from Besishawar drive to Pokhara by Private vehicle. Overnight stay at Pokhara. Distance from Tilje to Pokhara is about 148 km. Day 14 : Free day at Pokhara This day you will have free day in Pokhara, a capital tourism city of Nepal. Optional: you can do local sightseeing, Boat ride on Fewa Lake, Paragliding, Zipline, Bungee Jump etc. Day 15: Fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu and Free day After breakfast we transfer to you at Pokhara airport and fly to Kathmandu (25 min). After landing at Kathmandu we transfer you to Hotel and rest of the day will be free for you. Day 16: Departure As per your flight time we will transfer to you airport .
