Julie Chaffurin is a state-certified mountain guide, tour operator and manager of the mountain agency TREKORS, offering treks in Corsica to discover truly Corsican spots and uncover the treasures of Corsica and Reunion Island too. Passionate about ethnobotany, she spent several years working as an ecologist guard in a protected natural reserve, tracking rare animal and plant species. She loves sharing those happy little moments made up of delicious mixtures of meetings with nature and local cultures, anecdotes, fables and myths shared among traditional towns, pools and secret water falls, breathtaking panoramas seen at dawn or dusk, smells of scrubland vegetation and bird songs echoing within woods where there are so many unique species that it feels like reconnecting with some long lost part of ourselves... Holding degrees in Sport Science /Adapted Physical Activities complemented by diplomas in Oenology & Gastronomy and Ethnomedicine, Julie proposes walks suitable for all levels : strenuous ones for athletes, wheelchair accessible trails for disabled persons, scavenger hunt games for groups or family outings, well being themed excursions (including introduction sessions on Qi Gong, Yoga ou Forest Bathing), story telling… Come explore Corsica’s landscapes and traditions over half a day or full trekking days accompanied by your personal naturalist guide who knows how to point out every detail - showing off her knowledge of native plants while helping us spot wildlife; weaving together folklore and history facts around every corner!
