The Catio Cat Lounge

Catio Cat Lounge, Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) dedicated to finding loving, permanent homes for cats and kittens. At The Catio, our kitties enjoy a cage-free, enriching lounge environment while they wait to meet their forever families. Thankfully, the wait is usually short—our average length of stay is just 14 days. We have an excellent track record of placing rescued cats into wonderful homes quickly and successfully. The Catio gives potential adopters the chance to truly get to know a cat's personality before adoption, which leads to lasting matches. Fewer than 3% of our cats are ever returned, through no fault of their own. Each year, The Catio rescues and rehomes approximately 1,000 cats with the help of an incredible network of volunteers and foster families. Visitors pay a small fee to enter the lounge and mingle with our feline residents. From Painting with Kitties to Movie Nights with Cats, our events let guests relax, create, and connect—often with a cat by their side. Whether you're attending an event, enjoying a beverage alongside a Maine Coon, or volunteering your time, every visit supports our mission to rescue and rehome abandoned and stray cats and kittens. The Catio runs on donations. Your generous support helps us save cats whose age, health, or behavior may make them overlooked in traditional shelter settings. We are especially committed to helping senior, elderly, frightened, stressed, sick, or injured cats—those most at risk of euthanasia in overcrowded shelters.
