Ein Kerem: A Hidden Gem of Jerusalem

Tucked away from the usual tourist routes, Ein Kerem is a charming, picturesque, and slightly mysterious village waiting to be discovered.
While it is not mentioned by name in the New Testament, tradition holds that this is the birthplace of John the Baptist. It is also the site of the memorable meeting between Mary, the Mother of God, and her relative Elizabeth, the mother of John.
