Working with clay is mesmerizing—and challenging—After a tour of the studio, guests will don aprons and sit down at their own wheels to “throw” pottery. We work hands-on, one on one, to ensure that you create up to five beautiful vessels. If you decide you’d like to finish your pieces, there are four additional steps: trimming, bisque firing, glazing, and high firing. The entire process takes approximately one month, and the potters at FIRESTICK will complete these tasks for you for a fee of $15 per piece. That cost also covers a glazing class; should you choose to return within three months, or opt instead to pick out your color choices (from over forty glazes), we’ll handle the rest. Afterward, we can mail your finished ceramics anywhere in the United States.
