Koto in Japanese is a traditional Japanese instrument that is 6 feet long and has 36 strings. The traditional Japanese name reflects the authenticity of the Japanese cuisine served at the restaurant. The restaurant has three different locations—one in Pulchowk, one in Durbar Marg, and another in Boudha—with slightly different menus. You can find a wide variety of Japanese dishes here, ranging from cold soba noodles and mackerel dishes to sukiyaki and bento boxes, as well as several set menus. All meals are served with attention to both hygiene and presentation.
