Explore Luxor in 2 Days: Temples, Tombs & Lunch Included

After pickup from your hotel or the bus or train station on day 1, travel in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle to the prodigious East Bank of Luxor with an Egyptologist tour guide. Upon arrival, witness the sprawling Karnak Temple Complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Discover the remnants of ancient temples, pylons, chapels, and other historical structures, as well as the Karnak Open Air Museum. Next, proceed to the magnificent Luxor Temple, an ancient sandstone temple complex constructed by notable rulers like Amenhotep III, Alexander the Great, Tutankhamun, and Ramses II. Following exploration of the temple compound, enjoy a leisurely sail aboard a traditional Egyptian sailboat called a felucca prior to indulging in a delicious meal at a nearby eatery (an upgrade to lunch at Banana Island can be added upon request). Afterward, return transfer will drop you off at your accommodation or chosen meeting point approximately at 2 pm. In the late afternoon, reconvene with our expert guide who will pick up guests from their hotels starting at roughly 6pm onwards for attendance at the Sounds & Lights performance held within the precincts of Karnak Temple - should participants choose to include this excursion in their itinerary.
