In the past, those considered worthy of respect were called “samurai.” Eight hundred years after the age of the samurai, bushido is still being handed down today as one mainstay of Japan’s soul that influences courtesy and etiquette. After football games, fans who support their team will collect litter left on seats at stadiums; players also leave changing rooms neat and orderly when exiting them themselves. And even if there isn’t any pressure put upon us not to jump queues—nor would we receive payment for doing it either way—we never try cutting ahead while waiting for public transportation such as subways, busses, or taxi lines. We simply stand patiently until its our turn comes along. Learning about the essence of samurais can offer insight into how important maintaining good posture, paying close attention to what you need to focus your mind on, and concentrating deeply all contribute towards achieving success fully within our fast-paced contemporary world. The traditional cultural studies undertaken by warriors include tea ceremonies, caligraphy lessons, ikebana (flower arranging). The martial art skills learned through practice wielding actual katana blades during test cuttings sessions alongside wearing full suit of armour whilst visiting historical sites like Osaka castle provide practical experiences related directly linked back toward understanding true warrior ethos embodied throughout history via these legendary figures known commonly referred too as 'samurais'.
