Diving Atlantis

Try diving from the beach

You don’t need to be a certified scuba diver to admire the underwater nature. We organise dives for beginners from the shore at a beautiful spot known as Ray Bay, which is inhabited by various types of gentle ray. There are numerous varieties of sea creatures found within this area; much of its seabed consists of a lava rock formation - making it popular with marine life such as tropical fishes and other aquatic inhabitants. On these trips you may see around fifteen different species including assorted colourful fishies, manta rays (including Southern Stingrays), green turtle, crab, Moray eel, Octopus, Cuttlefish & shrimp amongst others! Although encounters with southern stingrays occur daily during your visit, they cannot be guaranteed on each trip due to their unpredictable behaviour. Our local residents include Manta Rays, Eagle Rays and Cownose Rays. For those who wish to gain further experience under water there is also the option to take up a Discover Scuba Diving programme – allowing participants to enjoy some extra tuition before receiving their certificate upon completion.

Kayak & snorkeling

It’s a wonderful experience for families, friends and couples. The tour combines kayaking and snorkelling and lasts 2 hours in total. We set off from Los Cristianos outside our dive school and make our way out towards Palm Mar Rocks. Around 30 mins later on the kayaks we arrive at these stunning cliffs where there are resident loggerhead sea turtles. Here we pause for about half an hour or so with some guided snorkelling led by one of our expert guides who help us spot all manner of marine wildlife below; this really does become quite an adventure each time due to the sheer diversity of species found here including many different types of tropical fish and other creatures beneath the waves. Then after getting back onto the kayaks again we carry on exploring further afield whilst taking in more spectacular coastal scenery along the route. Once returned to base afterwards everyone gets chance to look through their own photographs captured throughout the trip too!
