Be The Local Tours and travels

We were born and raised in Aamchee (‘OUR’) Mumbai and therefore know it inside out! So, we boldly venture down its narrow lanes to explore things that would otherwise go undiscovered. You will be in for many surprises – lots of amazing stuff, people, and a variety of activities! At Be The Local, we also work towards supporting local full-time students in pursuing higher education. We do so by providing employment opportunities within our organization and train them to become ‘tour guides’. This provides these young minds with dual advantages; one being financial stability which helps sustain themselves during studies while simultaneously boosting up their confidence levels through interaction with diverse travelers who visit us daily. Moreover, our visitors gain an authentic feel about the city since locals guide them around. Being Locals ourselves, we provide you with a captivating getaway giving you firsthand insight on how life unfolds amidst the "madness and magic" of Mumbai. And lastly but not least, through our educational tours of Dharavi area (our own locality), we aim to change perceptions regarding slum areas particularly focusing on ours here in Dharavi.
