It hosts one of the greatest natural spectacles on earth – The Great Wildebeest Migration. A camping safari by Lake Nakuru offers an excellent experience for birders. **Itinerary:** * **Day 1.** Departing Nairobi in the morning we travel along the edge of the Rift Valley towards the Maasaï Mara Game Reserve; arrival at our tent camp within Masaai Mara just before lunchtime. In the afternoon enjoy a game drive followed by dinner and then settle down for the night under canvas. * **Day 2.** Spend your whole day exploring this iconic Kenyan reserve which has become synonymous with safaris due to its high concentration of predators such as lions, leopards, buffalos, rhinos and elephants known collectively as “The Big Five”. Enjoy flexibility during these game drives choosing between having packed lunches so you may stay longer in the park or opt instead for two separate sessions either very early in the morning or later in the evening. You might even wish to visit nearby traditional Maa villages ($25 extra cost each way) experiencing their unique culture up close. All meal times & accommodation remain at campsite inside Massai Mara. * **Day 3.** After enjoying buffet-style breakfasts it’s off back onto the road heading southwards through beautiful countryside until reaching Lake Nakuru National Park around midday when check-in takes place at chosen accommodations. Post-lunch embark upon another exciting game drive here discovering not only thousands of lesser flamingoes but approximately forty others types resident breeding birds plus various mammals like giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, monkeys etc., making this truly diverse ecosystem worth spending more than half a day observing! Continue with a game drive until 10 AM. Head southwards alongside this picturesque valley toward Lake Naivasha.
