Your nickname, your public page and your card — one identity for the road
Tourist ID is who you are on Tourist. It is a unique nickname that becomes your address on the platform, a public page that tells the world you are a traveler, and a digital Tourist Card that local businesses recognize when you show it.
Think of it the way you think of a handle on a social network, except that this one is for the road: it tells a café, a guesthouse or a guide that you are a guest in their city, and it opens the doors that partners keep open for Tourist members.
Every Tourist ID has a public page at tourist.com/nickname. You decide what is on it:
You pick the style, color and font of the page and the card, so it looks like you and not like a form. The page link and the QR code on the card point to the same place.
The Tourist Card is the visible side of your Tourist ID. It lives in the Tourist app and on the website, and it can be added to Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. It carries your name, your nickname and a QR code; scanning it opens your public page.
Tourist Plus members can protect the card with a PIN and order a free physical card with NFC: tap it to any phone to share your Tourist ID and traveler profile.
Show the card or scan the partner QR code before you pay, and the business applies the discount or perk it has published for Tourist members. There is no booking through us, no voucher and no commission: the offer goes from the business straight to you. Today the card is recognized by 55.216+ local partners in 195+ countries.
A Tourist ID is also how travelers find each other. Exchange cards with people you meet on the way, add friends, see who is in the same city and start a chat — all from your public page, without giving out your phone number.
Claiming a Tourist ID is free: nickname, public page, digital card and the partner discounts of the free tier are included, with no card fee and no subscription.
Tourist Plus is an optional yearly subscription that unlocks the higher discount tiers at partners, the PIN-protected card and the free physical card.
Sign up on tourist.com or install the Tourist app from the App Store or Google Play, choose your nickname, and your Tourist ID is ready to show.
