Visit Bender Fortress dating back to the 16th century, originally constructed by the Moldavian ruler Stephen the Great as part of the defensive line along the Dniester River. In 1538, when the city was incorporated into the Ottoman Empire, Sultan Soliman the Magnificent had the fortresses reconstructed using stones and rechristened the town as Bender. Today, visitors may view the museums within the fortifications, including chambers used for torturing prisoners and various preserved structures. We will also examine examples of socialist architectural styles found around Bender such as; Tighina military cemetery, railway station bendery ,Gorki Cinema House, Local mosaics . Excursion to the wineries of Cricova, home to one of the largest underground wine storage facilities in Moldova.
