Évora and Wine Tasting Tour
This full day private tour begins with a visit to Evora, a town classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986. Evora is considered a museum city, with origins dating back to the Roman era, which explains why there are so many preserved remains of that civilisation scattered around the place. The Golden Age for Evora came in the Sixteenth Century when it became home to Portugal's Kings. Porto tour (from Lisbon)
This is a full day private tour to Porto, Portugal's second largest city, located in the North. You will visit the town main spots and monuments. Porto is situated on the banks of the Douro river near its mouth. It boasts numerous buildings of significant architectural merit and was granted world heritage status by Unesco back in 1996. Leaving Lisbon, our journey takes us northwards towards Porto along the A1 Motorway; this leg of the drive should take around three hours. On arriving there, you can expect an itinerary that includes visiting some key sights such as the historic centre (including Avenida Dos Aliados), Sao Bento Railway Station, the riverside area known locally as 'Ribeira', views across the wide expanse of the Douro Estuary itself plus trips out to see local beach areas before finishing off with another iconic landmark - Livraria Lello bookshop then finally crossing over the impressive Dom Luís I Bridge for those panoramic vistas! We depart Lisbon via the A2 motorway headed towards the southern Portuguese coast to Sagres, the southwestern most tip of both our coastline and the Iberian peninsula. Upon arrival in Sagres we'll see Fortaleza de Sagres where many famous explorers were trained before setting out to discover new lands during the Age of Discovery; then continue onto Cabo São Vicente or Cape St Vincent.
