18 Isola Bella “Boat Excursions” was born out of a passion for the sea and a desire to share the history and beauty of Ortigia Island. You’ll be able to admire the most evocative landscapes in Siracusa, which is regarded as one of the loveliest among ancient Greek towns and recognized by Unesco as part of its world heritage sites. Our boat trip takes us along marvellous golden cliff faces down to well known underwater grottoes. There are opportunities here too to plunge beneath the surface of these clear blue seas and marvel at their hidden treasures. And don’t forget about this evening cruise that ends just after dark when we enjoy some drinks onboard including local produce such as those found across Sicily.

Ortigia Island and Sea Caves Tour: The Ortigia Island and Sea Caves boat tour is the perfect opportunity to explore and be captivated by the natural beauty and history of this island. Our tour begins from the Umbertino Bridge, heading towards the Porto Piccolo di Siracusa (Lo Sbarcadero), dedicated to our patron saint, Santa Lucia. From there, we will head to three natural sea caves, one of which is shaped like a heart. We will then continue towards the island’s eastern seafront promenade, where we will admire the imposing fortress at the heart of the ancient city, Castello Maniace. We will continue the excursion with other important landmarks such as the Fonte Aretusa, a fresh water spring meeting the Ionian Sea. You can enjoy an invigorating swim in its crystalline waters for a truly unforgettable experience. Finally, you will conclude your journey on board while sailing back along the Passeggiata del Porto Grande (Marina) under the Umberto bridge once again.
