3 Days from Fes to Marrakech Day 1: From Fes - Midelt - Azrou - Ziz Valley - Merzouga: Today you travel with Merzouga Outdoor and we drive to Todra Gorges, passing through Ifrane to arrive at the cedar forests of Azrou where the wild monkeys are located. We will enjoy lunch in a small Berber village and we continue on to Midelt, taking in the scenery along the way. We then head towards Rich and Erfoud, feeling the beginnings of the Sahara Oasis of Tafilalet. Continuing onwards, we reach Merzouga, where we mount the camels for an overnight stay under the stars in traditional nomadic tents. Day 2: From Merzouga - Rissani - Erfoud - Todra Gorges - Dades - Ouarzazate: After witnessing the dawn over the dunes, we dismount the camels and make our way back to Merzouga. After having breakfast and freshening up at the hotel, we begin our onward journey to Ouarzazate. Along the route, we stop off at various points including visits to local Berber villages, the dramatic landscape of the Todra Gorge, the beautiful Dades Gorge, Rose Valley, and Skoura town. Our arrival in Ouarzazate takes place during the late afternoon hours. The drive continues along the route that leads us out of Ouarzazate towards Zagora crossing over the anti atlas mountains stopping off enroute at the berber town of Agdz before entering the draa valley lined with rows upon rows of date palms. We arrive at our bivouac campsite near the edge of the vast Sahara dunes around midday where you can enjoy an evening meal followed by rest under the stars or simply relax beside your campfire.
